September 13, 2022 · by Slumberr Planning one? [See how much your party is →](https://slumberr.com/book/) ## **Choose the Right Outdoor Movie** Not all movies are meant to be enjoyed on a big screen with a group of people. Choose a film that everyone will enjoy. For example, classic comedies or feel-good films are always crowd-pleasers. Steer clear of anything that’s too slow-paced or dialogue-heavy, as those can be tough to follow when you’re not in a traditional movie theater setting. When using your [outdoor movie](https://slumberr.com/outdoor-movie-night/) setup, don’t forget to consider the environment. Make sure that the movie volume is set at an appropriate level so that everyone in the area can enjoy themselves and not be disturbed by the noise. Likewise, be conscious of the movie content you choose – remember that there may be young children and people of all ages in the vicinity. Enjoying a classic movie with a group under the stars can create memories that last a lifetime! ## **Create A Comfortable Experience** Sitting on hard ground for two hours is no fun, so make sure your guests are comfortable by providing plenty of pillows and blankets. At Slumberr we offer [seating](https://slumberr.com/table-chair-rentals/) for your comfy needs.   You might also want to move any low-hanging branches out of the way so they don’t block anyone’s view. #### **Bring on the Snacks** (image: Outdoor movie night: inflatable screen and white loungers on a wide lawn) No movie party is complete without snacks! [Popcorn](https://slumberr.com/services/popcorn-machine-addon/) is always a good idea, but feel free to get creative with your menu.  We offer to rent our popcorn machine and Serve some theatre classics like candy and soft drinks, or get experimental with savory snacks or even themed dishes that tie in with the film you’re watching. Just be sure to have enough for everyone– nobody likes running out of food halfway through the movie! You can also offer some drinks, like coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, to keep your guests cozy and warm while they watch the movie. ## Outdoor Movie Weather Nothing beats a good outdoor movie night, complete with the stars twinkling above and a warm breeze tickling your skin. But one of the most important decisions when planning this type of event is the weather. You want to make sure that the temperature is just right and that there is no chance of rain. Depending on your location, this could mean a long summer night or an early autumn evening. When in doubt, check your local weather forecasts to ensure you have the perfect night for your outdoor movie event.
